Family Guy is starting to loose a little bit of its flair. They have moments that are brilliant, but I feel the charm is loosing its way. It may just be the story lines they are using and the use of characters. I have to admit that I just cannot give up on this show, but tonight's episode and this season for that matter have had very few laughs.
On tonight's episode, Meg turns 18years old. In usual Meg fashion, nobody showed up to her birthday party. Well, except for Glenn Quagmire, who now is showing signs of wanting to......well have sex with Meg. This doesn't sit well with Peter and Lois sense they know Quagmire too well and try everything they can to stop it from going down. Quagmire has a few tricks up his sleeve in order to lay it down with Meg Griffin.
The laughs were kind of few and far in between(lots of misses then hits). Peter and Lois had a good War Games moment that was too funny. The Not Drawn Yet gag was a good play on old school humor from older cartoons. The texting between Quagmire and Meg was funny too. The rest of it was kind of just OK. I was turning away from the screen and focusing on other things then the episode more then once.
I love me some Family Guy, but I need the hijinks's and the more hilarious random jokes from before. They have it in them to do it. Just got to let them get their groove back. Check out Family Guy on Fox Sundays and on Adult Swim. Don't forget to check out some of these clips from the episode.
